The JRPA board would like to give you an update on the progress of the "Grove Estates" development.
As stated in the planning board updates the D.E.I.S was not accepted by the planning board. The well situation seems to be of no concern as the water fluctuation and quality during the testing period was very good. The planning board however wants to know how the water levels are affected with the seasonal changes.
The JRPA and the planning board also became aware of the possibility of Indian artifacts and burials at the "Grove" site. We have been very busy working on this information as well as the Indian bat, the wetlands etc.
We will post an update as soon as we get anything new to pass on to you.
In the mean time if you have any suggestions or would like to offer your assistance please email us @ JReservoirPAssoc@aol.com .
With all of this research and legal fees we are incurring expenses. Please encourage your neighbors to join the Jamesville Reservoir Preservation Association. If you know of anyone who would like to donate to our cause.
Please have them contact us.

Update received from David Broda (6/2/04)
regarding the test wells at the "Grove"
The drilling rig arrived last night and began boring the wells that
will be used for the water yield tests. According to Thomas Byrnes who is the Hydrogeologist
with the firm EMS Environmental, they will drill three wells.
One of these will be a monitoring well and the other two will be the wells that they will pump.
They will also monitor several of the wells of the properties along Jamesville Terrace.
The test wells should be done by the end of this week and the testing
should begin next week. I think the test will be done over a 24 hr. period.
The monitoring will test the yield effect on the surrounding wells as well as the quality of water.
Samples will be taken to the county for testing.
